I Want Candy! is known around the globe for crafting one-of-a-kind luxury lollipops that look and taste truly remarkable. Although, like every great candy company, I Want Candy! had humble beginnings.
The story of I Want Candy! began back in 2008 in a small Darien, Illinois kitchen under the name of Vintage Confections. While small, this kitchen was mighty, going so far as to create the world-famous encapsulated edible art lollipop, which is now shipped and sold globally.
In 2018 Vintage Confections underwent a transition, with two former employees, Kris Magana and Martha Deetjen adapting the vision of the original creator into the flourishing candy company that you see today.
All of our lollipops are designed, made, and shipped right out of our commercial kitchen in Joliet, which means, yes, our world-famous lollipops are 100% made in the USA. From candied eyes to lollipops flecked with 24K gold, each of our treats is carefully poured, wrapped and packaged. Everything but the stick is 100% edible, and we utilize only the best ingredients possible for a truly irresistible flavor.
I Want Candy! owes its success to the imagination and creative ingenuity of three women with a knack for creating one of a kind, small-batch, artisanal lollipops. Before our sweet handcrafted treats reach your taste buds, R&D Manager and Graphic Designer Kris Magana imagines and crafts designs that are stunning and of course 100% edible. We also give our customers the option of creating their own original design using our intuitive online lollipop creator.
Once the design is finalized, whether by Kris or one of our inventive customers, the order is passed to our talented Lead Confectioner; this is where the magic happens. In the kitchen, we pour, help to unmold, fire and wrap the lollipops, which is all done completely by hand. After all of our lollipops are mixed, molded and wrapped our Shipping Manager Martha Deetjen ensures all of your treats get to you quickly, safely, and look as eye-catching as they did the moment they rolled out of our kitchen.
